Accessibility Statement

Last updated 11 October 2025

Commitment to accessibility

Off‑Leash Obedience is committed to making www.off-leashobedience.co.uk accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We aim to ensure our website is usable, navigable and understandable for as many people as possible in line with the Equality Act 2010 and recognised best practice for web accessibility.

Standards and guidelines

We design and test the site against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 (WCAG 2.1) at level AA as our target standard. Where relevant we also follow practical guidance for keyboard navigation, clear content structure and sufficient colour contrast.

What we do to improve accessibility

  • We use clear, consistent headings, readable fonts and logical page structure.

  • We ensure images have descriptive alternative text where appropriate.

  • We design pages to be navigable by keyboard and compatible with common screen readers.

  • We use sufficient colour contrast for text and interactive elements.

  • We provide accessible forms and captioned video where possible.

  • We check new pages and major updates for accessibility before publishing.

  • We run periodic accessibility checks and act on identified issues.

Known limitations and workarounds

Despite our efforts, some parts of the site may not yet fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA. Examples may include occasional third‑party content or embedded tools that do not fully support assistive technologies. If you experience difficulty using any part of the site, we will provide the information or service in an alternative format on request and help you complete transactions or bookings by phone or email.

Technical information

The site is built using standard web technologies including HTML, CSS and JavaScript and is tested in current versions of major browsers. It is designed to be responsive for use on desktop and mobile devices. We aim for compatibility with widely used assistive technologies.

Enforcement and legal rights

If you remain dissatisfied after contacting us, you may seek independent advice about your rights under the Equality Act 2010. Public sector specific regulations (such as the Accessibility Regulations for public sector websites) do not apply to private businesses in the same way, but we follow recognised standards and will work with you to resolve accessibility concerns.

Review and updates

We review this statement and our accessibility measures regularly and when we make significant changes to the site. Any updates will be noted in the Last updated field at the top of this page.
